Gorgeous Day, amazing pics, longggg drive

Today was our Aoraki Mount Cook tour. It started off rough, with us having a tiff with our driver because he had to pick us up in front of the YHA instead of the YMCA (which is literally next door- again, y’all’s error and not ours) and we were already anxious considering all the time and extra money it took the day before to secure our return to Christchurch (which the website said it included when we booked- ugh, anywayyyy) but we settled in and quickly realized that we were not going to be warm for the entirety of the ride. Hannah enquired about turning up the heat, but was told it was on max and to take it up with Great Sights (we plan to...). Pics of us freezing on the bus:

So anyway, avoid that company, but do take the route we took. We got way too many amazing pictures, some even from the moving bus, and stopped a few times (at Lake Tekapo and Lake Pukaki) along the way to Aoraki Mount Cook.

At Mount Cook, we had a buffett lunch (pasta, venison, Chinese chicken, rice, salad, dessert) and took more pictures of the literally surrounding mountains. After too little time, we boarded a different coach (this one had leather seats, WiFi, chargers, and HEAT) to make our way back to Christchurch.
